2LT. Norberto P. Juachon Ret
His
active military career led him to become one of the contingents to the (UNTAET) United Nation Transitional Administration
in East Timor in the year 2000. As a member of the peacekeeping force, he functioned
as one of the representatives of the Philippine Livelihood Training Program assigned with the Timorese Rehabilitation Project,
through PASC (Pilot Agricultural Services Center). He was one of the representatives who to took up Agri-ecology Training Program, hosted by Japan/Thailand
Contingent, which introduces EM Effective Microorganism Technology in Agriculture.
(This EM Effective Microorganism Technology was founded by Dr. Teruo Higa of Japan, who actively promotes organic/nature
farming in agriculture that aims to create an integrated humane, enviromental
and economically sustainable system of agricultural production. He also advocates
sustainable organic farming as one step to
address and to stop global warming
and hunger.)
